New Shanghai – Chatswood, Sydney

There is always a buzz of excitement when a new restaurant opens but it’s even better when it a branch of a place that I have read so much. A branch of New Shanghai (originally in Ashfield) has opened up in Chatswood, Lemon Grove, right next to de Pho. Time to get my dumpling on

The first thing you notice is the big glass display of the dumpling ladies doing their thang!
Busshari – Potts Point, Sydney

As I mentioned in my latest Masuya post, some of my relatives had come over to visit s and watch my big brother graduate *sniff sniff* he is growing up to be a big boy now *sniff sniff* but more importantly, relatives over meant going out to eat ^^! Busshari was another place that I had wanted to try so I was glad to be able to finally give it a go
I had also heard that this was a play frequented by Nicole Kidman but the staff member I asked was relatively new and had not seen her dine there before.

Executive Chef – Nobuyuki Ito-san flaming something… mmmm tastes like burning
Chophouse – Sydney CBD, Sydney

A restaurant with a name like Chophouse, gets me all giddy and excited because it could only mean one thing… steak, ribs and lots of meaty meat! The restaurant looks like an ordinary one from the outside but once you step inside, the atmosphere consumes you and transports you to another world. A world of classic wooden, rustic setting of comfy sofa benches, giant mirrors, mood lighting and of course the unmissable skull chandelier hanging over the bar.
Chophouse is a sister restaurant of Kingsleys Steakhouse and to be honest, I prefer this kind of relaxing and chilled atmosphere over the more formal and older sister. It is more fun and that means the food also tastes better ^^!
