Perfect Now… damn right!
I am trying to keep our mascot donning some cool hats so for this installment I was lucky enough to have had some Lord Nelson Old Admiral at one of my birthday feastings. I actually had my first Lord Nelson a few years back thanks to my big bro who is quite the knowledged in the field of beer. He informed me that there was actually a brewery hotel in The Rocks but sadly I have not yet made my way there. Fortunately though, I have been able to experience this top drop so Here Comes the Booze.
The Winery – Surry Hills, Sydney

As soon as I saw the pretty Winery sign studded with bright red roses I thought to myself, “Good work! I have chosen the perfect place for my manly brother heh heh heh.” With the help of the lovely Steph, we ended up at the Surry Hills restaurant of the Gazebo restaurants to celebrate my brothers birthday.

Just gotta love the lazy afternoon feeling
It was a beautiful, warm day and the whole atmosphere of the place (although has a slight yuppie feel) was perfect fro celebrating with some good food and wine! The whole place was covered in pretty and colourful flowers and other interesting ornaments of upside down birds and deers wearing ties. I didn’t get a photo of the giant chessboard outside but I thought it really added a nice touch to the place, and giant chess = much entertainment ^^! Read the rest of this entry »
Midori Sushi and Patisserie Viron – Shibuya, Japan.
Eating sushi in Japan should be at the bottom of the list of ‘things to do’, just below ramen and every other dish iconic to Japanese food. Why? Once you go back to Sydney or wherever you reside, nothing even comes close in my books. From that moment your first sushi platter in Japan is laid before you, you know that this will be something extra-ordinary, amazing and an experience that will blow your minds pretences to smithereens. Put the piece of sushi in your mouth and you will taste the perfectly vinegared rice complementing the slice of fish it beholds.

Sushi Midori is located on top of Mark City in Shibuya, which is 1 minute from the famous crossing. Just go up the big escalator and keep walking forward and you’ll find it in about 5 minutes. Be warned that during peak times, you can expect to wait up to 30 minutes with a group of people. In my opinion, this is the best place in Shibuya for sushi.
