Mövenpick Ice Cream – Manly, Sydney

Whenever I see this face going :O, it can only mean Mövenpick! I remember passing this by a few months ago and going ‘OOOHHH’ but I did not have time to even stop for an ice cream but just a quick gander. Mövenpick is a Swiss originated ice creamery with a really awesome website hee hee mmmm Art of Swiss Ice Cream.

This Manly store is relatively new compared with all the other ice creameries of the Manly Corso where all the beachers, but it has made a big impression on the public with a wide variety of flavours and the towering Iced Chocolate that I really must try on my next visit XD

Look at all the flavouuurrrssssss…

and moooreeeeeee!
There was a Rhubarb flavour that I got to test try and it was surprisingly delicious in ice cream form. It had a subtle rhubarby flavour which was still identifiable.

Although Mövenpick is slightly on the pricey side, it can sure deliver good creamy ice cream. The rich Swiss Chocolate was a decadent combination of chocolate chips and creamy chocolate ice cream, while the Maple Walnut tasted gorgeous with its ripple of maple syrup and crunches caramelized walnuts made it a texture and taste sensation. I will definitely be back to try out more flavours and the Ice Chocolate rarr!

Nice combo
How do you think this compared to the Copenhagen in the same area?

Ohh myyy…so many flavours! And that ice chocolate, holy cow! Even though the cold weather tends to put me off ice cream I really want to check this out. I’m intrigued by the rhubarb flavour.

So many flavour choices! Rhubarb sounds good, but so does the maple walnut. It’s always such a hard decision choosing icecream.

In cold weather, only the very best ice cream will do! And the Swiss do it so well (that and the chocolate).

You know what, I saw a Movenpick hotel when I was in Ho Chi Minh. I didn’t have time (or the guts) to leap out of a moving car to find out whether it was an ice cream hotel or just a hotel that happens to use the Movenpick name – but can you imagine? What would go on in a icecream hotel? Something like what is offered at the Hotel Hershey in the US?

Grace – ommgggg add these scoops on ice cream on them and then whoop whoop whoop whoop!

Forager – Ahh yeah I’ve read about the Movenpick hotels! Haha I really want to find out too! Since you travel quite often I think you have a better chance at visiting one more than me

Hmmm
I always have to weigh pros and cons of Movenpick and San Churro when I walk in Bondi!
