Adriano Zumbo

Has it really been half a year since my last visit to Zumbo ?!? No wai!!!! Either way it has been a very long time since my Zumbo fix and so this visit was long overdue. Every time I enter the narrow but cozy shop (and usually see the friendly face of Charles) I instantly turn into a fat kid in a candy store. The pretty colours and unique designs of each of the seasonal gateaux always gets me excited and I end up reading the descriptions over and over. I greedily ended up getting four on the spot. Happy Bday Pupu ^^! Chocolate Orange Pavlova celebration

Happy Birthday Pupu ^^!

Hope you had a fun-filled and tasty day! This is an obvious attempt at procrastination so I shall make this quick and simple. A little while back one of the many wonderful Sunbeams out there generously gave me a mixer which meant no more whisking by hand for me! A big thanks to her for making my life much easier (although now I don’t get the burning sense of satisfaction of hand-whisking egg whites heh). However due to busy exam period I didn’t have a chance to try it but when Pupus’ Bday came round it was the perfect excuse to whip it out!

10 year Celebration of Espresso di Manfredi

Chocolate fatness in the middle… These sweet words stood out perused the posters and photos around the office-turned celebration room. Although my mind was temporarily occupied with the thoughts of chocolatey fatness, it was actually one of it’s good partners that we were celebrating – coffee. Stefano Manfredi; a man with an impressive biography in the food industry having opened and operated restaurants such as Bel Mondo, Restaurant Manfredi and now currently running Bells at Killcare. Also the proud author of four books and weekly column ‘Seasonal‘ for Sydney Morning Herald’s Spectrum section. Furthermore he developed coffee brand Espresso di Manfredi by Piazza D’Oro for which has been successfully providing coffee culture to Sydneysiders for 10 strong years.
