TW 2010 TENYA – Taipei City, Taipei

I am pretty sure everyone is familiar with the tasty okonomiyaki but its’ close relative may not be as well-known, the monjayaki. Very similar in the sense they are both cooked on a hot teppan but their texture and flavours and hence the whole eating experience is different. This is also enhanced by the fact that you can choose to cook your monjayaki yourself or get one of the wait staff to cook it for you. Back to Taiwan we go where I  popped my monjayaki cherry.

Boozeday Toozeday #11 – Beck’s und Lex’s 3 hour pulled pork

This may have been one of those typical ridiculous low-brow American movies but it was about beer so I immediately enjoyed all the cheesy and corny jokes. Including this quote with good old Beck’s, which has been one of my go-to beers when I am browsing the walk-in fridge and see nothing new or special I want to try. Cafe Ish – Surry Hills, Sydney (2)

All… You.. Can… Eat… RIBS! One of the sweetest combination of words in the English language. We have already came across this once before but this time it was at the humble little Cafe Ish on Campbell St; unlike the silly people who went to Albion St hee hee I pity those fools. The all you can eat ribs has only recently come onto the menu and it is only for Wednesday night. Considering it is only 35 dora per person it is a very good deal that Lex, Ninja, Steph, Leona, Sheryl, Karen, Suzey and myself  had to try!

It was quite obvious that Josh, the owner, was a sake and beer fanatic and after a friendly chat he introduces us to a special drink which he only had 3 bottles left.
